Moisture & Biological Protection
Hydrophobic Facade Impregnation
Invisible protection. Surfaces stay dry — without changing appearance.
Overview
A deep-penetrating silane-siloxane impregnation that bonds chemically with mineral substrates — concrete, brick, stone, and render — lining the internal capillary network with a hydrophobic layer that repels liquid water while remaining fully vapour-permeable. The surface appearance is unchanged after treatment; water beads and runs off rather than soaking in. Prevents the freeze-thaw damage, salt crystallisation, and moisture-driven deterioration responsible for facade spalling and staining in exposed climates.
Key benefits
- ▸Invisible treatment — does not alter surface colour, texture, or sheen level
- ▸Fully vapour-permeable — substrate breathes normally while repelling liquid water
- ▸Prevents freeze-thaw spalling by blocking water absorption into the capillary network
- ▸Reduces carbonation rate and chloride ingress in concrete and masonry facades
- ▸Long-lasting protection — 10–15 year effective lifespan on most substrates
- ▸Low-odour, water-based formulation — suitable for occupied buildings and heritage sites
Applications
- Natural and artificial stone facades and cladding
- Exposed architectural concrete and masonry
- Rendered external walls and heritage structures
- Balustrades, parapets, and horizontal exposed concrete surfaces
